Why????

Marina - 31 Jan 2004 15:41 GMT Why is it soooooo fun to pull down Meowime's shirt, that was hanging over the back of a chair, and that she was going to wear to the theatre tonight, on the floor and then lie on it purring your fuzzy little heart out in ecstasy?? Nikki lies there purring so the neighbours can hear her, and she's even brought her little piggy over to lie on the shirt, too, and keep her place if she has to get up for some reason.
-- Marina, just wondering

Mischief - 31 Jan 2004 18:21 GMT Once when I was about 12, I had an acting lesson with my teacher. I was at his house, and it was warm, so I left my sweater jacket on the couch. Later, I'm trying to listen to my teacher, when something caught my eye.
"Um, Jeff? What's your cat doing to my sweater?"
His cat, Frank, was kneading it and then really plopped on it. When the lesson was over, he wouldn't get up, not even when I tugged on the sweater.
Also, whenever I throw clothes on the bed, Mischief has to inspect them, and if their appropriate, then she'll plop down on them. But it gets worse, when I reach for the clothes and start pulling them, she thinks it a game and pins it with her paw. It's really bad with drawstring pants. :)

Especially if they are a bit "overdue" for the laundry hamper. First he has to knead it within an inch of its life, then rub the whole length of his body all over it in a bizarre display of affection that none of us humans ever gets, and then he will enetr a long deep, dare I say comatose, sleep upon it. But woe betide if you try to extract said undergarment from beneath him before he's finished his little kitty fetishes with it.
And although any bra will do, he has an obvious preference for the black and lacy variety. Kinky kitty.

But would any of the Daves also enjoy smelling the inside of Joel's old sneakers?????
Actually, perhaps its best if no-one answers that.

Felix frequently sleeps on my sneakers, often with his head stuffed into one. He gets kinda territorial about the sneakers, too. I've had times when I really needed the one he was on, and had to argue him into giving it up [he'll tighten his little arms around it and scowl

DH just took a sweater out of the wash that I'm going to wear tonight to karaoke. DH hung it on the back of a chair to dry, I said "Oh, the cats will pull it down like Nikki did!" so I moved it to the computer room and hung it on the vacuum cleaner stuck in the corner.
It took Moogie .02 seconds to dash in, grab it and pull it on to the floor! Geez!!!!
Stacey :)

This is a well known law among felines. ;-)

Bono actually prefers used clothes to lie on, the smelier the better - like from training or working hard , but anything wil do and if no clothes are available they both will settle for a book, a piece of paper or whatever ...
Hope you made it to the theatre anyway and that you had a good time!

You are being very ungrateful. Your shirt was apparently too flat and ironed, and did not have enough wrinkles or cat hair on it, so your kitties immediately volunteered to assist. It's hard work being a kitty.

Also keepiing in mind that the weather is cold now, your kitties are adding extra insulation, and given enough time to wallow on your garment, will give it a fashionable faux mohair look. It's *very* hard work being a kitty.
