You all know how devastated we were when we lost our beloved Creampuff.
Yes, I have other cats -- but there was a large empty area in our
lives, that Creamy had filled.
You may not understand this, but I'm going to tell you, anyway. I made
a promise, on Creampuff's behalf, to my Heavenly Father to help, to the
best of my ability, any of his small creatures who came my way. It was
a serious commitment and meant a great deal to me.
Two days later, we opened the front door and found a kitten on the
porch. This is a block where almost every house has a dog -- and
some of them run free. The baby was obviously lost, hungry and
frightened, and very much wanted to come in!
My cats were not delighted to see this newcomer nestled in their mom's
arms, so I had to place her in my room -- for her safety and also
until Dr. "M" could see her.
She is about 5-6 months old, a white short-hair with "splotches" of warm
brown on her back, has big gold eyes and the most loving personality I
have ever seen! She really loves being held, patted, touched and
kissed!
We knew immediately that she was a gift from Creampuff! Because of
that, we had trouble settling on a name -- Clair (from eclair) was one
we seriously considered. But her Dr. named her for us. Because she
came to us the way she did, at the time she did, Dr. Moreland said that
the choice was obvious -- we had to call her Destiny!
She is now busy destroying my bedroom. There is a wall in there that I
wanted removed -- she may do it for me! But until that happens, I
hold her whenever I can, kiss her a lot, and smile whenever I think of
Creampuff looking down on us with deep satisfaction!

Holy cow!! That really is Destiny! THere is no doubt when you open your door
and find a kitten you are supposed to *do* something. I'm quite certain that
Creampuff did indeed send this baby to you!! Congrats on the new little one.
