Next week I'm supposed to find out if I keep my job or get let go.
I'll ask Natasha to purr, but any extra purrs and good thoughts that
can be added would be greatly appreciated.

Many purrs that you get to keep your job! It must be so stressful to wait to
find out, so many purrs for your nerves, too.

Here's hopes from me, and purrs from Mary & Andy that you keep your job.
I was in the same boat - was layed off - a few months ago until they
hired me back. Though at least you have some warning. I didn't have any
warning until they called everyone into a meeting, then a few minutes
later canceled the meeting, and only called some of us into a meeting -
I figured this can't be good news.

An update on the situation - there's been a 3 month reprieve on any
decisions. While it's nice to have, we get to go through the same
situation in April.

Still, it could be worse. I could be unemployed right now.

Thanks for all purrs and good thoughts!

That's pretty cruel, to keep everyone in suspense for months. Purrs that
things don't go crazy at your job, and that, in the end, you get to keep

Never seen your ? before here.....one of my friends is a slave to a Persian
cream-colored named Odie; she used to ask me what I thought of the ridge of
fur down his spine similar to what you describe....it's what made his
pedigreed self "unshowable" and "pet quality" and why his breeder was glad
to give him away to my pal. The only grooming (friend has $ and pays
regularly to have all 3 of her furry dictators (1 Persian, 2 Himmies)
groomed and trimmed) that gets rid of that spinal ridge of fur is giving
Odie the "lion cut" - close-shaved except for head, paws, and tail end,
which she usually has done for him in summer just because he's more
comfortable that way. I told her I just think it's the way he's made and she
should be glad he came her way because of his objectionable-to-cat-shows fur
ridge.

As of this afternoon, I am no longer employed.

It's weird, I'm not all that upset (though the job market sucks),
almost relieved. I'd worked for this company since 1998, and I was
never really comfortable (although I did like some of my coworkers).

So I guess now I need to switch those "keep the job" purrs to "find a
