The Secret Life of FSP

FSP vanished for three hours after I let her out this morning.
I have been wandering around the street calling "Fluffy, Fluffy," -  she
always comes if she hears me and rarely goes off for long.

On my way back from the main road (where I had nervously been looking)
the man from the middle flat across the street from our house called to
me.        "Are you looking for a cat?"

I went and explained about FSP.   "Oh," he exclaimed, so that's where
that little cutie lives.   She is here all the time and feeds with my
cats!!!!"  (Mystery solved of why FSP never seems very hungry)   "Oh
yes," he went on,  "I adore cats, she lets me pick her up and tickle
her."  He smiled, "At the moment she is on my roof with my black and
white."   He added  "The cats always get the best of food, you know,
salmon and chicken, nothing cheap for my darlings!!"

Problem solved, - what a relief and wonderful to know that FSP has
someone else watching out for her.

I didn't like to tell him about FSP chasing the daylights out of his
black and white a week or so ago.   "We also have two Burmese in
residence," I said conversationally.

He smiled knowingly.   "And little darlings they are too," he said!!!!

LOL! FSP has her very own restaurant. I don't know if this Whiskas
commercial is running in other countries, but we have one here where we see
a young lady fetching her cat from an older woman's house. She carries her
(?) home and sets her down in front of her food bowl. The cat sniffs the
food, and runs off. We see her braving the dangerous Out, and ending up
behind the window of the older woman, who smiles, lets the cat in and gives
her Whiskas in her own bowl.

I think I've seen that!  It's funny!

I also like the commercial where the woman is vacuuming and carefully moves
the milk-tab ring then puts it back.  My mum didn't understand the ad.  I
said, "Cats love to play with those things!"

I have those things all over my place. And I do the same thing when
vacumming. Very funny.

That big fan is to cool the pilot. Watch how much he sweats when it
stops.

That ad sounds so funny, don't remember seeing it here.   The best cat
ad here was the  mouse bungee jumping into the cat's water bowl.  The
mouse does the jump a couple of times and then the cat moves the bowl
with its paw - splat.

OH NO!  <G>  I haven't seen that one!  I love the one where the dog gets up
and eats the humans sandwich and drinks the soda.  Then the dog puts the
soda can back on the counter, then picks the cat up and puts her on the
counter.  The cat is going, "Huh?! Why am I up here?" so the cat can be
blamed for everything.

I have to tell the advertisers, this doesn't make me want to run out and buy
their soda.  It may, however, make me make a sandwich :)

Yeah, that one's funny, but I don't know if a cat would fall for it -
more likely the cat would do something and frame the for d*g

In my fuzzy opinion, many of the commercials are much better than the
programs. They were produced with a lot more thought, obviously, and
possibly bigger budgets. SuperBowl coming up next w/e.....the best of the
best, commercial-wise. Remember "herding cats"?

You're welcome.  Don't you just love the guy with the lint brush?  Oh, an
unless you watch carefully you'll miss the dude on horseback sneezing (need
some Flonaze?).  ROFL!  I don't watch much TV either, but the superbowl
television ads are some of the best.

I know!! I've watched that about 4 or 5 times over the years and I just
noticed those things today when I watched it. Had me laughing all over
again.

Anyone know of any more downloadable ones like that?
And if anyone is going to record the *special* mini-football game at
half-time of the SB, it would be deeply appreciated. Let me know a
website you put it on or an NG you post it in or send it directly. I
can use MPEG or RP or most anything else. Just NOT AVI - I've given up
on every getting them to play correctly.

What is so hard about avi?

Damned if I know! I used to be able to play them, but recently
discovered I couldn't. I've tried everything people suggested, even
downloaded DVX-player. No joy. One expert on such told me that there
are *many* different encodings used for AVIs and if you don't have the
exact right codec for that one, twon't work.

That is true.  I sometimes have to switch around players to get it to
play and there are times I can't and I try to keep up on codecs.
VideoLan VLC does the best job overall and is the best and most reliable.
Even has a slow motion button and it is free.  Just keep up with the
updates.

Having the Pats to thank for Manning & co.'s flaming downfall in playoffs
(Bronco fans were still hydrophobic after Colts wiped their field up with
Denver prior to that) we join you in wishing Pats victory next Sunday. The
Cats got a long way to go to beat NE.

Hey, did you know that North Carolina has a professional football team?
It's called the Panthers, and I found out about them less than two weeks
ago, when they won in the play-offs for the Superbowl.

Pam S. who's torn between the Seattle Seahawks and her new adoptive
team, the Carolina Panthers.
Hopitus2 - 27 Jan 2004 22:09 GMT
Cap'n Pine Cone, in retaliation for his "tuna place blues", has been hiding
the sports pages from you for quite a while, Pam. Now that you are aware and
awake (did you see sports pages wrapped, perhaps, around a food offering for
the furry dictators?) it would be good, at this late date - SuperBowl is
next Sunday - to tune in to local channel carrying the game and root for
your Cats (aka Carolina Panthers). Seattle is not playing in this
game...neither is (sniff) Denver.
