Had to take him the TED as he'd developed a bad limp. As I suspected it
turned out to be an abscess which will have to lanced and drained (ugh)
Anyway, he should be home this evening.

Poor baby, many purrs coming over for him. Frank had an abscess on his back
last summer, and I have never smelled anything so horrible as when it
erupted, so purrs for you and TED, too.

Awwwww, purrs for your little Mojo. I had a Very Special Cat named
Mojo myself a few years ago. It's a great name :-)

He's home, very groggy with a big drain tube in his shoulder and a large
shaved patch. Now we have the fun of giving him his antibiotic pulls and
flushing out the drainage tube for the next few days, which won't be easy
;-0 Try holding down a 19.5LB cat that doesn't like pills.

Good luck with the cleaning out the drain tube. Maybe you could get him to
take the pills in some yummy food.
I'll bet he feels a lot better with that infection drained.

You have my sympathy, Nik. I've had to give liquid herbs to Little Bit
now since September when they told me she was dying in 4-5 days. (grin)
This will be a life time thing. Though she is a L-O-N-G ways from 19.5
LBs !!!!!!!! She is maybe 7-8 Lbs at the very most. We will be
thinking and purring for you and Mojo when it's pill time and drainage
time. Here's praying that things go well as I'm sure they will with a
good parent taking care of him.
BTW, have you tried one of the plastic and rubber 'pill poppers' ? They
have worked really well for me at times, depending upon the individual
cat. (grin) Makes me think of that thing that goes around the Net every
once in a while about How to Give a Cat a Pill !!!! LOL
Purrs & Hugs,

Poor baby! More purrs and prayers for him, and some for you too that
medicating the baby won't be too hard. And I thought Jazz was big at 17 lbs!

My sympathy for Mojo's leg and for your job of pill dispenser. ;-)

I use one of those rubber-tipped pill poppers when they're big pills,
followed up by a special treat of some sort. Much luck and many purrs, Nik.

Boy, that's what the BT Rowdy weighs, exactly. More than one person needed
to subdue Mojo for his pilling and draining, no doubt. Purrs for success
with it all, for Mojo's sake and yours as well.

Jasper sends his sympathies - he developed an abcess on his leg a few
years back after a fight with something (we don't know what) and had to
spend several weeks with his leg very heavily bandaged. He's got a
small bald patch on it now, but other than that he's fit and healthy.

Sending many purrs for Mojo to get over his abcess. Special purrs
being sent from Rocky, so remembers abcesses from his previous life as
a feral tom cat.
