I've decided to teach Rufous to ride on my shoulder. Basho and Issa do
it, and Fez has shown some interest as well. This might prove to be a
bad idea if Rufous turns into an orange giant like I think he will. Can
you imagine carrying with you around the house an extra 15 or 20 pounds? :)
We made it from the living room to the computer room with no unpleasant
claw intrusions whatsoever. Good sign.

Yes, actually! Amelia is somewhere around 15 or 16 pounds, so it's
pretty noticeable when she decides it's time for a shoulder ride.

Major progress! I only get claw problems from Amelia when she thinks
I've been away too long, then she kneads my shoulders (with her claws
out) for the first minute or so.

Moogie rides around on our shoulders all the time now, has since he was a
bitty kitty. He'll even jump from one spot to our backs, regardless of the
distance. Right now he's still (relatively) light and is very careful of his
claws. We're a bit concerned about when he grows up, though... we think he's
going to get huge!

Please send pics of shoulder kittys when available!
