Mom, let that man out of the little box!

Last night I was setting my alarm clock whilst Moogie played on the night
stand with the lamp shade, lamp cord, my hands, the tissue box, etc. When I
had finished setting the time, I hit the sleep button to ensure that the
volume had not been changed when the alarm clock had mysteriously jumped off
the table earlier in the day (I suspect Moogie made it jump). James Taylor
came on singing about his sweet baby self when Moogie stopped, looked down
at the radio and suddenly started clawing furiously at the speaker holes on
top of the clock radio. I reached over and hit the snooze button, quieting
James, and Moogie stopped and looked quizically at the radio. So I reached
over and turned it back on, and Moogie once again began to scratch furiously
at the speaker. Off, look, on, scratch, and so on. Now I'm laughing
hysterically and call DH into the room. DH comes in and says "What?" and I
say "Look at your dippy kitten!" and turn the radio on again. Now James was
gone and replaced by The Beach Boys singing about Kokomo. Now Moogie started
to scratch maniacally at the radio in a crazed fury. I turned it off, he
stopped. I turned it back on, he started again. Now DH is saying amidst his
giggles "Mom! Get the Beach Boys out of the radio! Save them, Mom! Save the
Beach Boys!", which sends me into even worse fits of giggles which sends me
into a coughing fit. This annoyed Moogie as he imagined he was being laughed
at so he took off. Crazy kitty!

LOL I can almost imagine that! :) Silly kitty.

I'd like to just find a way to keep Shamrock offa mine -- it's an older
style and to change the time you only have to hit two buttons. The "hour"
button and the "minute" button. Can't tell you how many times I've had the
alarm go off only to find out the clock is about 2 hours ahead of the real
time. gggrrrr time for a new clock.

LOL, yes. I keep the volume on my alarm radio turned all the way up, to be
*sure* to wake me. However, if you press the snooze button at any time, even
when the alarm isn't set, the radio will come on. The snooze button is
conveniently located on top of the radio, of course, very easy for little
kitty feet to step on. Occasionally, I'll be somewhere in my apartment,
when suddenly my radio will start blaring. I'll go into the bedroom to
investigate, crossing paths with freaked-out cats going the other way, fast.
One time I even came home to a blaring radio and very unsettled looking cats
beseeching me with their eyes to *do something* about that horrible noise.
Who knows how long *that* had been going on! (Hope the neighbors weren't
annoyed by it!)

Luckily, that hasn't happened while I've been asleep - it's bad enough when
it goes off when it's supposed to! :)

Aww, the poor Moogster was trying to be heroic and save the little men and
you just laughed at him? How could you! ;o)
