Dude - in case you haven't noticed, "catbert" *IS* one of the trolls.
You're just propegating them. We (the regulars of RPCA) are just ignoring
them, or maybe we'll recipe them to death, as is our normal habit :D

[[We (the regulars of RPCA) are just ignoring

When the RPCA Cookbook gets published (and I do seem to recall that
there's a legitimate effort IRL to do so), and we all get rich from the
royalties, will we have to thank the knuckleheads who inspired the recipe
postings in the first place? :o)
ObFelinity: Captain has stopped meowing for me to raise the mini-blinds
when he wants to look out the window. He's discovered the
rather-more-direct method of sticking his head between the slats to look
out.
Too bad this is the back window on the second floor, and I'd have to run
down to the basement to get out the back door and see what he looks like
from the outside of the house. If only he'd do this in the living room!
Then it'd be much easier to get a photo of a little kitty face peering out
from between the mini-blinds!
Donna, Captain, and Stanley (who prefers to let Captain demand that the
mini-blinds be opened, then reap the benefits)

If you're going to do something, do it right.
Don't flood all at once. It's too easy to filter it
out with the time stamp. You've got to do it in smaller
increments and at a slower rate to properly intersperse
it with the group's regular trolls (ie. the whining regulars).
Other than that, it was pretty good. And I've never
seen a more deserving group.

it can be filtered out in many other ways (message id, nntp posting host,
etc.), especially if you have a decent newsreader with good filtering
functionality.
a request to one's own isp or nsp to filter the floods often works too
without ever having to configure a newsreader.

even that won't keep the floods from being filter-able, and I've never seen
a flooder who was willing to keep it going for more than maybe a week or
two, tops. I read a lot of groups that others have tried to flood out of
existence and it has never worked. the flooders and trolls come and go but
the groups stay on and so do the regulars.
> Other than that, it was pretty good.
not really. it was vanilla NewsAgent flooding. would like to know how the
flooder got it to work though. I've never gotten NewsAgent to work.
> And I've never seen a more deserving group.
there are many, many far more deserving groups. alt.flame.niggers and
soc.men for starters.

LTNS Cheryl, how's it going?
