Cat Forum / Cat Anecdotes / September 2005Could use some purrs for Arthur
He's going in Monday to the low-cost neuter/spay vet to be snipped. I'm going to worry like crazy, of course, so any purrs that he make it through safely are appreciated. BTW, it was when I took Rocky in that I realized he was part of the family. When I took him in he was still called the "mostly white, black and white tomcat". I had been working in the neighborhood, and stopped by to check up on him a couple times during the day. When I went to pick him up the staff at the low cost neuter clinic told me I was going to have to give a name and admit he was my cat. When I took Betsy in for her initial checkup, I told the staff she was just a stray and didn't have a name, so they listed her as 'Stray'. At the time, I didn't realize that if you take a cat to the vet and start spending money on it, it's your cat, name or no name! Purrs for the snip! I'm sure he'll be fine. When we took in the bits, the day after DP found them, we were asked if "they were our kittens." To which we said no, we just kinda found them, to which the vet said that they weren't going to look after them for free and they couldn't keep them at the shelter. Once we reassured teh vet that we were paying for their care and housing them until they had a permanent home, they were fine to begin examining them. And we got the sneaking suspicion they might be making their permanent home with us. poor Kumani.
