Yet another visitor to the rescue box courtesy of The Mighty Huntress. It
was pouring with rain this morning, but that didn't stop my three rulers
from going out into the garden. Within minutes, Queen Of All She Surveys was
back in the cat flap with her cry of, "Mowz! Mowz!" Waffles brought in
breakfast. Breakfast was still alive, so I put it in the rescue box. The box
has some straw bedding in it, as well as a supply of nuts, seeds and a
couple of grapes. Breakfast is still alive and well this evening, so once
the cats are in for the night, Breakfast will be released back in the
garden, where it can scuttle off and find its vole friends :)

Better than being stupid like you. At least she can sober up...but
you'll always be stupid.

Not necessarily. BTW, tell your old lady thanks for last night.

Here's hoping that Breakfast doesn't tell all his little buddies, "Wow,
that place is great! Ya gotta go there! They give you bedding and seeds
and grapes..." ;o)

A very relieved little vole then :)
I got a hell of a shock tonight when I caught a glimpse of something 'very
gory' under the desk. At first glance it looked like a small glossy rat with
a huge wound in it's flank. I grit my teeth and prepared to deal with it,
then realised that it was actually one of my black and red socks lying in a
shadow. I comforted myself with the thought that at least I didn't scream
and bring Ade upstairs to laugh at me.

You Brits have some of the cutest wildlife. Joanne wants one of those
little deer you have. I've shown her some of your stories. I think I've
mentioned her critter collection before. If she could afford it she'd have
her own Zoo.
