Basho just barfed his entiner dinner, half on the bed, half on the
carpet. Normally, I wouldn't worry, but it's 2am and he had dinner
around 6pm. It's been over 8 hours... doesn't give me a good feeling.
Also, I'm sick as a d*g. I think it's the flu (I have a fever), but my
MIL thinks it's her Thanksgiving dinner (my stomach hurt like hell all
day today)... :(
Could I have given Basho whatever I have? All the cats have been really
good nurses. It's probably the fact that I'm running a fever and it's
cold outside... :) I didn't throw up, but that's probably because I
haven't really eaten anything in over 30 hours.
Purrs for the little one that it's just a regular barf and nothing more.
There's been too many sick kitties lately and I don't want to take any
chances.
Best regards.

Purrs for both Basho and you to recover soon. I don't think that kind of
sickness can be transmitted from humans to cats, but that's just my guess.
Maybe he was sick out of empathy?

I got sick *before* Thanksgiving... only had chicken broth and some toast
for Turkey Day. Persia sort of barfed a tiny bit but I think it was a
sympathy barf.

Big purrs for your fast recovery, Victor, not to mention poor Basho. Did he
have any rich hoomin food treats that night? Sometimes the Evil 3 barf up
stuff after holiday dinners with unaccustomed treats.

Poor Basho and poor you, Victor. From what I've heard it's really hard to
transmit any diseases from humans to cats and vice versa because we have
different body temperatures. I do hope both of you start feeling better
soon, start eating at least a little bit at a time and drink lots of fluids.
Please take care of yourselves.
Best wishes and purrs,

Victor, I'm so sorry to hear you're sick -- I hope Basho just had a small
tummy upset and it's nothing bad; I doubt you could've given him anything
(I'm suspecting you've got a flu of some sort.). Please accept healing
purrs for a quick recovery for both of you!
hugs and scritches,
Christine

I hope you both feel better soon. I doubt that Basho caught anything
from you. Now if Basho sampled some thing from the dinner it is possible
she got sick from it.

Healing purrs for both. We recently had an episode like that -- TuTu
and I were sick at the same time. We eat different food (of course)
but do drink the same water (filtered). I have noticed over the years
that when we have lots of windstorms we seem to get new germs.
Good luck to you/ MLB

We hope you're both feeling better soon. We were all just sick (me, the
dog, and Oliver). While I had mostly an upper respiratory type thing
with a little tummy troubles, both of my boys vomited. I couldn't
figure out if it was coincidence or what. They both got better much
faster than I did. Steve was in Colorado so he was away for much of it,
lucky guy!

Ugh, I hope it's not food poisoning. That really sucks. Maybe it's some
kind of flu? I have no idea if you could have passed anything like that on
to Basho, but am sending purrs for you to feel better asap!
