A creature of habit

We have a two sink vanity in our master bath, DH's sink is on the right,
and mine is the left. Mithu always wants a drink from the faucet in DH's
sink.  He sits on the left side of the sink and leans in to drink from
the stream.  Well, last night, DH's sink was pretty cruddy, as DH had
not bothered to rinse out the stubble and shaving cream from his recent
shave. (He's a big boy, he can clean out his own d##m sink.)

I wasn't about to let Mithu stick his paws into the crud, so I turned on
the faucet in my sink instead. Untempted and undettered, Mithu kept
looking longingly at DH's sink.  I turned him around so he could see the
water in mine. Not good enough.  I had to pick him up, and put him on
the left side of my sink to get him to drink from it. Sweet Mithu is not
one to think outside the box. Or the sink, as it were.

Cheers,
Caroline S.

LOL!
You know, I do that sometimes. I have to be at a specific spot before I can
do something comfortably. Heh, Mithu is a smart boy ;)

My lovebird, Peaches, has to line up exactly three pieces of her pellets on
the top perch before she eats them, one at a time.  I think it's instinctual
and goes back to life in the wild, where she would have gathered her seed,
berries, whatever, and carried them to a high perch to eat them safely.
It's cute :)

LOL! Frank is very much a creature of habit, too. I was surprised when I
managed to convince him to sleep on the right-hand pillow instead of the
left-hand one here in the new place.

I'm doing the morning feed for two cats whilst their owner is in hospital,
and they get agitated if their food bowls aren't in the same place every
morning.
