The infection on his ear flap is getting under control now. There was very
little pus this evening, the swelling is way down, and it looks a whole lot
better.

I still can't get over what a GOOD BOY he has been about being doctored. I
think Gloria has been neglecting him, the way he is soaking up the
attention. Even when I have to squeeze the wound to clean it out, all he
does is cry - no struggle at all. And it's been three and a half days and he
hasn't yet complained about being locked in the house.

That's great to hear!

I wouldn't be surprised if he noticed that your ministrations were making
his infected ear feel better. It never ceases to amaze me what some pets
will put up with once they make the connection between getting pilled or
otherwise medicated and feeling relief from uncomfortable symptoms.

Let your friend know how much her kitty looooooves attention. Maybe
they'll both be that much better off for it. :o)

Sound like he is being such a trooper.  And it is possible that this is the
first time he has really made the connection between humans and relief.

We've had Molly nearly a year now, and she is only slowly starting to show
any real attachment to us.

I'm so glad Tubs is getting better. Thanks for the update.

A house is not a home, without a cat.
