Weird night

badwilson - 08 Sep 2005 03:50 GMT I woke up at 3 am feeling very nauseous. I thought I was going to throw up and was afraid that maybe it was from the honey garlic ribs that I'd BBQ'ed for dinner. I also had extreme itchiness on my left upper arm and shoulder and left side of my chest. I got up and went to the bathroom and examined the area in the mirror. I had a whole bunch of tiny mosquito bite things, almost like flea bites. I checked the bed out, it's easy because my sheets and duvet cover are plain white. Not a speck of anything to be seen. I still felt like puking, so I went back to bed but was ready to bolt at any moment. I must have fallen asleep again because Vino woke me up at 7:30 and I felt fine! I checked Vino over for fleas (it's also easy because he's so light coloured) and came up with nothing. Went to the bathroom and all the bitemarks have disappeared! It's like the whole thing never even happened! Now I'm starting to wonder if the whole thing even happened or if I was hallucinating??? -- Britta "There is no snooze button on a cat who wants breakfast." -- Unknown Check out pictures of Vino at: http://photos.yahoo.com/badwilson click on the Vino album

Possible, perhaps - the worst nightmares are the ones where you dream you wake up, and then experience something weird. (And what a relief it is to REALLY wake up!)

I had a dream within a dream recently, but it wasn't a nightmare. I dreamed that a little orange kitten was bouncing around all over my house. Then I woke up, and told my mother about my dream. Then I REALLY woke up, and remembered that my mother died four years ago.

That could explain the temporary nature of it. Some allergic rashes last a long time, but others are very short. For example, I will develope an itchy rash such as what you described it I just brush up against eucalyptus leaves in a floral arrangement, and then it will disappear quickly.

It didn't even take the Red Bulls. I started watching the quarterfinal with Agassi and Blake and got totally sucked in, ended up staying up till 1 am to finish watching it. I have no idea why they're showing it at night here, should be noon when it's really on! Anyway, what a match! I dreamed of nothing but tennis balls bouncing back and forth all night until Vino tried to scalp me at 8:30 am for staying in bed too long. -- Britta "There is no snooze button on a cat who wants breakfast." -- Unknown Check out pictures of Vino at: http://photos.yahoo.com/badwilson click on the Vino album

Spiders will often repeatedly bite a human, injecting whatever venom that species has, in a vain attempt to feed. Then they go away in search of other prey; most spiders eat other insects; they c an't feed on humans. But they do try. Not much in the way of a brain in there......
You could have been reacting to the venom.
I had a spider biting me a few years ago, several times every night. I figured it out pretty quickly, but it took a few days of various nasty insect killers to get the little b@stard.
Good luck!
Fortunately, the bites I was getting were only extremely ichy; apparently no toxins.

I had a similar sounding reaction to something a dry cleaner used on some dress shirts a while ago. Small reddish bumps, but in my case they were all in the area where the shirt was kept in close, steady contact with my skin, mainly around the collar and shoulder area. I don't recall if I felt nauseous, but I was definitely bothered.
Perhaps you had a reaction to something you leaned against? Seems odd that it was mainly on your left side. If you sleep mainly on your left side, could you have been in contact with anything different that way?
And I've had reactions come and go that quickly. Hopefully it won't occur again, and you'll be fine.
Did Vino mind the extra going over, or did he like the attention? Tripper and Hazard like any attention aside from medications. Katie would rather I stuck to skritching her neck and shoulders. Anywhere else is strictly off limits...and I usually lose that argument....;)

So I wasn't in contact with anything new. I buy all the cleaning products the maid uses and there's nothing new or unusual. And I've never had a single allergy to anything before. I've got a bit of lactose intolerance that comes and goes but it shouldn't cause that. I mainly stick to yoghurt anyway. I just don't think it was a rash, it was very individual, seperated bites. And yes, I was lying on the left side just before I woke up. Vino didn't mind, he's used to me picking at the zits on his chin anyway. Of which, I'm proud to say, I've cured him (again). He's got these funny growths in one ear that he's had all his life and he doesn't really like it if I check those out too closely, but other than that, he's easy :-) -- Britta "There is no snooze button on a cat who wants breakfast." -- Unknown Check out pictures of Vino at: http://photos.yahoo.com/badwilson click on the Vino album

Funny, I woke up with desparate need for evacuation, a different sense than used recently, and several more times. By morning, that was 4:30 AM, I was feeling really queasy and only just managed to have my oatmeal (and just a bit ago, breakfast). If I had been down at the diner for breakfast as usual, I woulda blamed it on door handles, flatware or food but the only thing I touched not on my property was the mail box (not counting bicycle tires). So maybe it aliens or the mother-ship puniching me. Norm (I even washed my hands several times yerterday because I was working on cars)

Something went wrong because you were supposed to remain unconscious until morning. You forgot to mention the feeling of disorientation and the slight ringing of the ears. Please post the strange dreams that you'll be having for the next few days.
