We went to visit the in-laws in Houston* this weekend, as yesterday was
Mary's 76th birthday. We were going to see "March of the Penguins" but
got there early, so were killing time at the mall before the movie. We
went to the Discovery Channel Store and I found a cat toy I wanted to
buy the kids on sale:

I figured it would be a lot of fun and would entertain them for hours!
Boy I was wrong. It took Rufous exactly 5 seconds to figure out how to
get the little balls out of the puzzle. I'm thinking of a way to rig the
darn thing to make it harder to get the little balls out of there.

* I so wanted to visit Lori, but I know she's got her hands full right
now, so I didn't try to schedule that. We're purring for you Lori.

I've got one of those, Victor.  It was a major disappointment at
first.  Neither kitty bothered with it, even when I added cloth
balls rubbed with catnip.  However, lately Will has taken to
playing with it some.  He prefers the cloth balls because he'd
rather hook them out of the top than try to push them out the
sides.  I also toss small cloth mice into it.

Thanks for the tip Victor - it looks like such fun in the picture!
