I almost hesitate to say this, in case it tempts fate, but she really does.
The silly old girl just got the zoomies, hurtling round the two rooms,
leaping on to the arm of the settee and then behind it.  She can be a secret
piddler, so I called "Oy, get out of there" and she did.  Zoomies continued.
Maybe it's the "Bob Martin delicious conditioning tablets" that I've been
giving her for a few weeks.  It says on the bottle to give one a day, but in
deference to her great age, I've only been giving her one twice a week or
so.
She loves them, just crunches them up like a treat.
Boyfriend will not entertain them at any price.  He claims they're
poisonous.  He is not an adventurous eater.  Mince can kill.

See?  I read the subject line and thought...  Oooooh noooo, what's
wrong?  Of course, nothing.  I think I'm getting pre-disposed to see
something bad, isn't that horrible?

I'm glad she's got the zoomies.  Don't think there is anything sweeter
than an older cat zooming through the house!  I remember when Nicodemus
(RB 2003) used to do that.  The sad part with her, shortly after we got
her, she went blind from cataracts, so we had to be very careful when
rearranging the furniture (had to show her by "walking" her over to
where stuff was now).  The vets never knew her age, but her teeth had
worn down to nubs, all she had was fangs.  They figured she was 23 to
25 years old, bless her.

Good to know she's enjoying her conditioning tablets!

A note from Smokie to Boyfriend:  Beware of aneefing da hoomins try to
force yoo to eet.  If deys forcin' it on yoo, it cant be good.  Jus
look an see whut day dont wan yoo to eet (birdees and mousies and
snakes and lizards -- all good stuffs).

Yes.  It happens so much that our kitties are ill and need purrs we are
getting used to bad news.  So I thought I would post with the good news that
KFC seems wonderfully well for a really old cat!

Yoo arr sooo luckee.  Snakes is kinna scary, but my meowmie iz not
afeared of dem.  She catches dem snakies... escep' for dem wons wif da
rattels.  Meowmie gots a spade fer dem snakies.  If'n dey is small
enuff, she brings dem brown and green wons (she says bull snake and
grass snake) in da house and lets me pway wif dem.  She don' let me
eets dem do... she say deys eets da canal ratz (bodies are about a foot
long, not counting the tail), she has neffer heard of eny kitties dats
catches der canal ratz.  Maybe yoo culd come and vizit and catch us
some canal ratz an we culd haff a bar-be-que.  My meowmie wud cook I
knows she wud.

Lizzar's are fun, dey runs and runs.  Yoo puts yoor feeties on der
tailz an if'n yoo kin hold dem hard enuff, der tail come off.  Sumtimes
just der tip sumtimes der hole tail.  Meowmie don't like when I do dat,
so she don't let me out too much.  She cant catch me wen I runs, so she
dont let me out no mores, but she wud if'n yoo came to vizit, I nos she
wud.

It's lovely to hear that Kitty FC is doing so well. Nikki used to have
the zoomies, too, all the time. Frank doesn't rally get the zomies any
more. They stopped about a year ago.

Miranda loves her supplement pills, too, which is a relief, since she
has to take several of them to make up for only eating meat. I still
haven't found a catfood that she considers food.
