Nanki-Poo follow-up

Nanki-Poo's follow-up visit to the doctor was not as great as I had hoped,
mainly because he isn't healing as fast as I had hoped.  The doctor refers
to what I called a wound as an ulcer.  Apparently it went deeper than I
realized, no doubt partly because he had been scratching it.

Fortunately, he doesn't scratch it any more.  She gave me some salve to put
on it once a day.  That won't be a problem, because I tried putting some
udder cream on it a couple of times when it looked bad, and he didn't mind
at all.

Unfortunately, she wants to continue with the antibiotic for another week or
10 days.  Most of the cats I've had were much worse about it than he is, but
he still doesn't like it, and he fights it, so that won't be fun.  However,
he forgives quickly, and usually wants petting soon afterward.  Most of my
other cats have disappeared for hours after being given medicine.

The doctor still thinks the problem was a fleabite.  I don't, but I can't
prove it wasn't, so there's no point in arguing.  At least he seems to be
feeling fine.  He's been a lot more affectionate lately.  He spends a lot of
time either on my lap or on top of the computer monitor.  I can't get a flat
screen monitor - my cats would be too unhappy.  <G>

Joy, hope Nanki-Poo will recover quickly and well -- many purrs for you and
him.

I don't know if Miranda will ever forgive me for getting a laptop
instead of a regular PC with big monitor. Anyway, purrs for Nanki-poo. I
know all about the medication blues, so purrs for you, too, Joy.

Thank you, Adrian.  The ulcer looks better today, so I am hoping.
