Frankie back where he belongs:

http://community.webshots.com/photo/416910483/440705440WppQwj

He doesn't look so happy, but he was purring and headbutting me, so I
think he was feeling pretty good. :o)

He's a charmer alright. The vet techs loved him. When I went to get him,
one of the techs went to fetch him from the surgery and came out with
his empty carrier, and another tech followed her, clutching Frank in her
arms. Frank, who usually doesn't enjoy being held, just sat there
looking smug. She said she would miss him so much, he's such a lovely
old guy. She kept saying it over and over, what a lovely old guy, and
would hardly let go of him and put him in the carrier. ;o) I noticed a
leeetle piece of smut on his nose, and the other tech rushed off to get
a damp cloth to wipe it off. LOL! He certainly charmed those ladies.
(Don't tell Waffles.)

SO! Frank was busy charming the vet techs while in hospital. =o) Probably
made them wait on him paw and paw (as opposed to hand and foot). I hope he
makes a rapid recovery  to full health, Marina. I'm sure he knows you took
him to TED because you love him incredibly.

Not just a gentleman, but a ladies man as well.  But we knew that.  (Sorry
Waffles, but that's why you love him, right?)

I'd bet real money that, as sweet as they were over the big lug at
TEDs, Frankie's tickled pink to be home!  Hope he continues to mend
quickly.

Cheers,

Mary Wells, song in the 1960's IIRC:

"Nothing you can do can tear me away from My Guy"

Now it's become my earworm, all evening!

It's been mine, too, since I wrote the OP.

Awww - I'm glad he's home.  Even thought he was coddled at the vet, I'm sure
that home looks better, medicine and all.  What a sweetie he is!

So you've been forgiven?  I hope so.  Purrs that Frank stays in fine form.

I'm forgiven except at medication time. Then he hides under the bed. I
tried to wait him out last night, but when it was two hours after his
regular time, I started to coax him out with the help of the broom. Took
me 45 minutes, and when I finally got hold of him, he fought every step
of the way, then he spit out all the medicine, and to top it off vomited
all over the floor. But other than that, he's my own sweet Frankie.

You sure can, my love. ROWR! I only made those ladies dote on me because
my hoomin left me at their mercy for the whole day. Had to make sure I
was treated right.
