I posted a few months ago about how Harri Roadcat wa such a help to me in
the truck with her built-in alarm clock. It was nice being able to go to
sleep knowing that my little furry buddy would come wake me up just before
the alarm clock did.
Now I've been blessed with another fur-covered alarm clock. For the last
couple weeks Ranger kitten has been climbing on top of my chest about 20
minutes before the alarm goes off. She rubs her cold, wet kitten nose
across my face, trys to shove her entire head up one of my nostrils, then
checks to see if she can find an earlobe to smurgle. I haven't overslept
once in those two weeks!
Now if I could just convince her that I don't need an alarm clock on
weekends...

Isn't that great? One of my cats, Finlay, used to do that twice when
DH (who has the oddest working hours as a train driver) and only
several days later I were in danger to oversleep. Finlay gave each of
us headbangs and poked one of his paws right on our mouths til we
finally woke up and reached work just in time :-)

That's the hardest thing to do <g>

We used to have a poster with a signature quote that went something like
this:
"Sandpaper kisses, a cuddle and purr
I have an alarm clock covered in fur"
I always enjoyed reading it -- where did it go?

That was mine. I replaced it with this new one. Gotta keep rotating
the sig every once in a while!

20 minutes now, soon to be an hour and likely to increase to 2 hours.
Watch out! ;-)
