Wake Up, People - 02 Sep 2005 15:36 GMT We know that it's you who has been making anonymous emails designed to look like they are made by your "enemies."
We know you had your friend call Dan and threaten him.
We know who you are and we know what you're doing.
You thought you weren't traceable but you are.
All this because your self proclaimed "expert status" in the cat groups has been blown to bits by your vicious stupidity? Unbelievable.
Here's hoping you've enjoyed the game. More to come.

It's really something.
I can hardly wait to hear the case against Megan.

Rhonda - 03 Sep 2005 05:01 GMT And how would you describe yourself, cat-guy?

Yeah, well, there are no doubt people who are working on dredging up anything that might give you one. :) But that is how I would describe myself, too, generally. I don't imagine being magnificently pissed off amounts to an emotional crisis, does it?
MaryL - 02 Sep 2005 23:53 GMT > We know that it's you who has been making > anonymous emails designed to look like they are [quoted text clipped - 13 lines] > > :) This is ridiculous and totally unfair. Whether you agree with her or not, Megan is - above all - completely honest. Ironically, one of the reasons why some people get so annoyed (or even downright angry) with her is because she *is* so open and forthright in her opinions. She does not hide her feelings, or her disdain if that is what she thinks is needed. She has no history of this type of behavior. You have posted a vindictive message under an anonymous name (using part of Megan's address) and with no evidence, and then you have the nerve to claim that *she* is writing anonymous emails. I'm also curious as to why you would bring this up at this late date. Megan has not posted anything in any newsgroup for several months, largely because of this type of diatribe. She told me that she has had enough of this type of drivel, and has no desire to waste her time. I "suspect" that I know who posted this message - but, unlike you, I am not willing to drag someone's name through the mud simply out of my "suspicions." I find this type of vendetta to be particularly unfair because Megan contributes so much of her time, energy, and resources to cats (which is the theme of this newsgroup). I have not met Megan in person, but she was extremely helpful (via telephone conversations) when I adopted Duffy. I got to know her as a friend during that time, and that friendship has developed over the years. I know that she does not sink to hiding under anonymous names. You seem to denigrate her "expert status," but Megan truly has more experience with a variety of behavioral problems than anyone else I can think of, and she was incredibly generous with her time as she walked me through the process of introducing the two cats. She has helped a number of others on these newsgroups in adopting and socializing feral cats.
I'm not posting this for your benefit. I'm posting this because Megan no longer posts to the newsgroup and is not here to defend herself. I hope that newcomers to the group who do not know her will not buy into this type of garbage.
You are a troll and a remarkably unfair individual!

Best of all your good friend Megans days of terrorizing those she does not like with phone calls and emails are over. Usenet is one thing but what she does is another. She has crossed the line into criminal behaviour now in her efforts to smear those she sees as her adversaries. Harassment is criminal behaviour. Wake up you fool. Shes been lying to you for years. She left the group because there are finally a few people she cannot intimidate. Did you know that she emailed Catnipped's work? Do you recall when she urged her to cut her wrists? Knowing she is a depressive? Time to put your pea brain in gear.

Knowing she is > a depressive? Time to put your pea brain in gear. It seems to me that you are fabricating information. If I remember correctly, CN posted the contents of an angry telephone message from Megan, and the thread then escalated into a confrontation between them. Nothing was said about Megan emailing CN's "work." As to the claim that Megan urged CN to cut her wrists, please post proof (*including* the link to the original message).
As for me, this will be my last message on the subject. I don't wish to become involved in a flame war, and it's clear that the trolls are busy tonight.

Rhonda - 03 Sep 2005 05:03 GMT CATS! Let's talk about cats!
This soap-opera intrigue is getting to me. Maybe it's time for a break.

It's rather funny; as someone pointed out, he's discovering the unique joys of motherhood. :)

Bet You Missed Me! - 03 Sep 2005 05:58 GMT > CATS! Let's talk about cats! > > This soap-opera intrigue is getting to me. Maybe it's time for a break. Right. I've thought it over, and have come to a firm decision. Just my opinion, of course. You are just sad, Rhonda. How many times in your life have you known you should take a stand, but haven't? How many times have you allowed bullies to intimidate you out of following your conscience? Have you ever gone against the opinions of the herd? Openly? I imagine not.
I know how I am going to feel when I am on my way out. How do you think you will feel?
Rhonda - 03 Sep 2005 17:03 GMT > Right. I've thought it over, and have come to a firm decision. Just my > opinion, [quoted text clipped - 3 lines] > gone > against the opinions of the herd? Openly? I imagine not. Don't pretend to know me from a cat group, Nancy. First off, is that the name to call you? It feels silly calling you Mary now.
Let me ask you this, do you often feel that something is wrong with everyone else in the world except you? Is the cat group and the rose group and EVERY group filled with idiots, and you are one of the only one or two to rise above?

Just my > > opinion, [quoted text clipped - 6 lines] > Don't pretend to know me from a cat group, Nancy. First off, is that the > name to call you? It feels silly calling you Mary now. I do know you "from a cat group." I know you from THIS cat group. What are you talking about? As for names, well, you can call me anything you want. Just remember that your name, first and last, is also readily available. If you want to take Usenet real life, prepare to have the same done to you. Fair is fair. But the larger point is, it doesn't matter a damn what my name is or your name is. Unless you are attempting to intimidate me. And if you are, good luck with that.
> Let me ask you this, do you often feel that something is wrong with > everyone else in the world except you? When have I said there was something "wrong" with someone? Once again, try to stay with the point. The point is, having the courage of your convictions. I have a strong conviction that it is my right to say anything I want to say in a free and unmoderated forum. Here and anywhere else I choose. Under any *name* I choose. Think I'm a narcissist? Think I have a "persecution complex?" Great! Tell us all about it.
>Is the cat group and the rose > group and EVERY group filled with idiots, and you are one of the only > one or two to rise above? I don't think I have ever said anything to this effect. And of course, we can all be idiots at times. Are there a lot of idiots in the world? I would have to respond with a resounding "hell YES." Now then, what was your point?
> > I know how I am going to feel when I am on my way out. How do you think > > you will feel? > > I think there will be quite a few people at my funeral. How about yours? Tons. That is what I live for. So that people will say, "well, she never really had an original thought, she didn't have much of a backbone, but she was really NICE. Let's all go to her funeral."
Is this what you live for?
My question to you is this: don't you think you should have taken some sort of stand after what Dan did? Instead of jumping on the bandwagon and demonizing me and others who were only trying to do a good thing?
Whatever I say while speaking my mind is not the point. I have the right to say what I want to say, and to call an idiot an idiot.
You knew quite well who I was and where my heart was when you worked with me to find a home for Phil's poor cat. All that has changed since then is that you bought a bullshit smear campaign.
Here you have at least found the guts to admit it openly.
You're pathetic.

You cannot cite anything she's said that has been bad advice. However, you will have no end of citations of her being neurotic.
Right now, I'm thinking of her as a sort of autistic savant who knows cats better than any of us, but doesn't know humans.
How sad. I liked her quite a bit, but still feel abandoned by her.
My suggestion to you is to just f.ck off and get back to talking about cats.
