Lester: Update

The sugeon called while I was out, as always on weekend mornings, with the
bicycle club.  My wife took the call.

Apparently Lester is not only doing well, but substantially better than
expected.  He's demanding affection from everyone, and has eaten a little bit
of food off peoples' fingers.  They described him as acting like a ten year
old cat that has been through surgery, not a sixteen year old one.  They will
start tube feeding tommorow to force some nutrition into him.

I am not allowed to see him today, but if things go well they'll allow a visit
tommorow evening.

This might actually work out in the end.  If I could get another year out of
this ordeal, it would be well worth it.  I'm thrilled to have a cat live to 16
or 17, so anything additional is just bonus mileage.

Hallelujah! The power of many factors, least of which PURR-power, works
miracles now and then. May Lester spring back to his 10-year-old self and
give you more years of love.

That's such good news. Those older cats can surprise us all so
nicely!

This post just made my day, Art -- Lester is a trooper; we're all pulling
for him and Phunny and sending you our best, too!

Great news!  It sounded so grim before with all the talk of bile ducts
and such, and in your position, I might have lost hope sooner.  You
must love Lester so much, and purrs are so powerful!

Continuing purrs for Lester, hoping he has a few more years yet.
