Every morning Baby Eyes gets in a zoomy mood for a couple of hours, and,
ever since the time Tubs moved out, no other four-leggeds have been
involved. Until today.
It was actually too early for the start of her usual morning hour of racing
through the house, when Billy entered the house, soaking wet from dew and in
a zoomy mood himself, found a carpet greebling lurking near the sisal
scratchers where Baby Eyes often lately holds fort. It was at that point she
decided that Billy *was* the carpet greebling, and there ensued the
first-ever Billy/Baby Eyes romp & wrestle session. Much of the entertainment
value was in Billy's amazement that the one who up to this point in time had
done only motherly things to/with him, had stepped down from her throne and
tossed her dignity to the wind - if only temporarily.
Now, after having a bit of breakfast, Billy is looking at his former foster
mama kitty like he thinks she has lost her mind.
Baby Eyes, like a flower blossom, is always unfolding new aspects of
herself. I think a scientist researching the behavior of felis domesticus
would covet her presence.

This is the "baby eyes" that was gone for so long, right? Weeks was it, or
months?

No, she's only "disappeared" once in her life, for about four days. She was
down in the neighbor's barn.

Great post Pat. I guess cats like to keep other cats too.
