The cats enjoyed the party. It was nice to have all their favourite
foods and to leap from knee to knee. I know they appreciated the
beautiful birthday cakes (there were two, a chocolate one made by my
sister-in-law and a special fruit cake done by Helen, my cat loving
friend. She is a professional cake maker and icer and had cats on it
with an iced book with the title of one of my stories. We have
photos, before it was largely devoured. Bonnie has discovered she loves
icing!! Clyde is partial to stuffed eggs, savouries, avocado dip and
asparagus rolls! FSP ate bits of left overs off the floor and looked wet
but beautiful.
it had just been raining and the guests enjoyed the muddy wet bodies and
fur. After all, when you wear nice clothes it's great to share them
with a platoon of cats. One guest bought me a lovely flowering
cyclamen. Sadly, Bonnie had it half eaten before I discovered her
wickedness. How lucky the guest had gone before I found it.
There were many cat cards and pressies including a cat pocket compact, a
set of Siamese cats with big feet by Nougat & Caramel "Breed Apart",
plus an extra kitten by the same people from someone else. Naughty
Lois gave me a book entitled "Over ahd Hill, Deal with It" by Jan
King. She is off with Ken on a second honeymoon to-day. They are
going away for two weeks on a coach tour of the South Island, lucky
things. Her sister-in-law is looking after the cats and they are all
saying prayers that a particularly large pregnant queen will hold off
having kittens until they get back. I have offered my services as
mid-wife, to said sister-in-law should they be needed, lol.
The party went on all day and finished with the remaining guests
watching the All Blacks beating the Springboks in the evening. All
very satisfactory.

Dogs may shed, but cats shred.

Sounds like you had a great time all around, Bev. Glad everything went
well....well, as well as can be expected with the furbabies around, heh. :)
May you live long and prosper.

I'm so glad to hear you all enjoyed the party. I was wondering how Lois is
doing, thanks for the update, Bev.
Lots of purrs and best wishes for you to be able to be there when the queen
has her kittens,
