How cute! Biskit has a sink-thing. She pees in the bathroom sink. I
know that sounds gross, but at least it's the guest bathroom and she
somehow manages to position herself so that she never gets a drop of
urine on the porcelain itself--it all goes down the drain. I just pour
bleach down it every day. Not much else I can do!

I do that too. It is much better than peeing in the toilet-much
less splashing.

Fin used to pee in the sink, but only after I was sitting down
doing my own business. It was his way of letting me know that it
was TIME to CLEAN the LITTERBOX. He would huff his way up there
and glare at me while peeing.  I would be suitably chastised and
would scoop the box right after I was done.

As an alternate, he'd poop in the bathtub.  Another subtle reminder
that I was neglecting my duties as a slave.

I sure miss him sometimes....

Ooo. Thanks for the heads-up. Might be her message and I was just too
dense to get it.

I never saw it before. Very cute! What is it with cat and sinks? Miranda
used to curl up in the sink, now Caliban does it.

SINKS are for TYCHE to SLEEP IN!

She's the only one of our four who likes the sink.

Isn't it obvious?  Sinks are nice and COOL!  Dang, sometimes in the heat
around here I want to curl up in the bathtub.  Unfortunately I don't have a
built-in fur blanket so it would be hard as a rock to sleep on.  Kitties
have that built in padding and blanket :)

On a GW note:
Stop, it's a GW
...
Okay, you've been warned!
....

Ever notice how nice a cold tile floor is when you're ill and (ahem) hurking
in the cold porcelain throne?  Or if you are simply (women, mostly)
overwhelmed by a hot flash which requires something cold, NOW.  Can't get to
the ice pack... oooooh, the tile floor!

But it rarely gets that hot here. Granted, even 25 C seems to bother the
cats here sometimes, but they sleep in the sink in the winter, too
(though I don't know that about Caliban yet).

I like a nice cool tile floor anyway, even if I'm not feeling sick. This
place has a built-in heating system that warms up the floor in the
bathroom. I keep it turned off, because I think it feels disgusting.
Tile floors are supposed to be cool!

We had tile floors put in while we were on vacation.  Jake and Molly just
love sprawling on them.

Stinky never does.  Mimi was a sink cat.  Stinky used to *be* a sink
cat, but it was obviously just to bug Mimi. ;)

Wow, Otis would never go in the sink, far too cold!  And there's the
leaking tap to contend with.

My two, also British cats, would find it too cold also, even in the height
of what we call summer.  Although I don't have a leaking tap ;-)
One winter a few years ago the temperature got down to -16C.  I was looking
for my face cloth (flannel, we call it) first thing in the morning and found
it had fallen into the bath and frozen to the plug hole.
Now that's cold..

Wow! It often get down to -30s C here in the winter.
But so far I haven't have anything frozen inside except in the freezer..  I
do worry about frozen pipes but so
far so good. I am dreading my  hydro bill in the winter.

Nico's a sink kitty too. Laku isn't. That may be mainly coz Nico's a
sink kitty... ;) They still don't see eye to eye on some things, but do
co-exist quite nicely.
