wafflycat - 18 Aug 2005 23:35 GMT I was out on my recumbent trike tonight. Lit up like a Christmas tree, as usual when cycling at night - three front lights, three rear lights, acres of reflectives...
Discovered that of a summer night, in the dark, when yours truly on 'bent is outshining the moon by a significant factor, that m*ths find me an attractive thing to fly around... alongside... towards.... land on....
Just thought I'd mention it ;-)
Cheers, helen s

> Just thought I'd mention it ;-) Well, you won't have any trouble keeping up with that moth diet you were trying!

When I saw the subject line, I immediately thought "maths", and had to re-read your post several times for the realisation to hit!

If there's something wrong with you, there's something even more wrong with me. I read maths first, too, then I read myths. Finally I realised it was, indeed, m*ths.

I'm learning to identify them and its so fascinating.

Except when I'm fast asleep and woken with a start as I find one crawling up my leg due to the fact I had the windows open earlier in the evening. A privet hawk moth is a lovely thing, but not when it's crawling up your leg at 3am....

I watched it for about 15 minutes.
