Hello,
My cat has been vomiting quite a lot lately after reading a newsgroup item I
decided to take him to the vets ASAP. The vet can find no obvious reason but
will carry out a blood test next week. He also said that it could be
Irritable Bowl Syndrome, has anyone come across this in cats and what is the
remedy if any to this.

Regards

Hi Gary,
What did the blood work come back as? I've had two boys (cats of course) for 15 and 16 years and have been through a lot of different illnesses etc over those years. One of my guys is now on meds for Hyperthyroidism. He almost died in my arms when all the symptoms came about. He would vomit. My other boy also still vomits occasionally. He's on meds for liver disfunction. There's a lot of biological reasons why this can happen. They can eat a tiny piece of plastic and get blocked up and if undetected (usually an Xray shows it up) will kill them. If they swallow a piece of tiny string, it can get wrapped around their organs and.....well, kill them (again, Xray!)  Bottom line is if they vomit on a regular basis, there's something wrong. Usually can be "found" in blood analysis...and/or Xray.
So it's been over a month since your original post.  How is little Champers?
