Lately, my cat is shedding profusely. When I pet her, a little less than a
handful of fur falls out. I don't know if the problem is dietary.
does anyone have suggestion? thanks

As the days get longer the cat sheds more

Could be normal if the weather is getting hot at your location.

I recently bought a kitten.  My other male cat that is about 7 months old
keeps on pinning the kitten to the floor by his neck.  Is this normal
behaviour?  he seems quiet aggressive when its happening.

Sounds like dominance behaviour to me. Is the 7 month old male neutered?
If not, it might help...

It is the time of year when cats shed their winter coat and set their
summer coat. Some cats shed all year round.
Have you tried combing/brushing her?

It is normal.  Try to brush her more often to prevent hairballs being
coughed up.

My cat is shedding profusely also. It's the time of year merv, warmer
weather and longer periods of light. I suggest you attack the problem with a
brush, comb or cat sized shedding blade.
