Hello All!
I have a question I hope someone can help me with. I recently adopted my
neighbor's cat as they were moving. The cat is 4 years old and had a litter
of kittens about 2 years ago. They refused to get her spayed and it seemed
she was constantly in heat and wanted to go outside. Not long after I
adopted her, I got her spayed, which was about 3 weeks ago. I have a
screened in porch and a cat door as well as a decent sized place that she
can roam around in. While she was here before I got her spayed, she loved
the porch and loved roaming around. After the spay, it seems that all she
wants to do is sleep and eat. Is this normal? Thanks in advance for any
help that anyone can offer me!

Yes, it's normal for a cat to quit roaming after being fixed. You
might want to play with her to keep her more active.
