My kittens also tend to rip paper and cardboard. I think it may have
something to do with changing teeth, but I am not sure. It seems to be a
phase they go through. I tell my kittens not to - usually they learn
that it isn't fun to eat paper quite fast... cardboard seems to be more
fun - it takes longer to learn to stop that...
Hope this was helpful ;-)

Try to find in flower shops and pet shops cats grass because cats eats
paper(actually almost everything made by woods edible 4 them) to clear
her digestion system.
