I adopted a feral snowshoe siamese from a rescue about 3 years ago. She
had to be trapped, and was spayed there. It took me 3 months to gain her
trust, but she has turned out to be a sweet kitty.
This cat sprays--bad. She sprays every bush and weed outside, and the
behavior does not stop when she comes in. She sprays the doors, the
appliances, the curtains, clothes, towels--you name it.
She has been checked by a vet and is perfectly heathy. I do have
several other cats--all neutered. None spray.
Any advice on how to curtail this behavior?
TIA.

It sounds like dominance spraying to me. Your other cats stress her
somehow. I have had a similar situation. My spraying spay had to be
moved to a new home with cats that accepted her dominance.

Hello,
I read your message and hope I can be of help. I adopted two bengals
about 3 years ago( fixed and neutered) . One male and one female who came
from the same household. I already owned two cats who got along very well.
To my surprise the female was overly aggressive with my other cats and
sprayed. I also had her checked out at the vet office. After a urine sample
(no urinary infection) and an Xray (To make sure that when she was fixed
the vet didnt miss a small piece of what is supposed to have been removed
during her original surgery)they said she was fine and that it must be
behavioral. I tryed feliway, which in my case unfortunately did not work.
My last resort was paxil. I was so grateful to see that it did not take
away her overly sweet nature with people. It also did not make her a zombie
kitty.I have slowwly lowered her dosage over the years, but lowering to
much shows that she definetly still has a problem.Try to talk with your vet
about this option. In my case I am so grateful for it because I love my cat
very much, and now am able to keep her without having to worry about the
spraying. I give her liquid paxil everyday and it is a very small
inconvience compared to constantly smelling everything in my house
wondering where shes  sprayed.I hope this helps! Feel free to write back if
you want to ask me anything about it.
