If you have a cat, child proof your house, Please !!
My wife had 3. All stray kittens, all close to starvation. (at different
times.) She nursed
them to health, and they were her "babies" (I travel for a living) At
night, the oldest
slept on her chest & sucked on her neck. The youngest slept on her pillow
with his
face buried in her hair. The other slept at her side.
Last September, she awoke to find them all in convulsions in the kitchen
The baby
had gotten into her medication somehow, and all three had eaten it. (When
the capsules broke open while they played with them, It must have tasted
good.) All three had to be destroyed. After 3 months, she still sits and
cries at night, and blames herself for killing them.
They're like having kids. Child proof your house please. Keep anything
toxic in
cabinets or out of reach. Covers on unused electrical outlets. No plastic
bags or
string left out, etc, etc, etc. A bit of prevention, will save a lot of
grief.
Happy Holidays to All.
