Does anyone of you know a way to *peacefully* clip cat's claws?:)

My cat doesn't go out so she can't scratch trees like cats usually do. I
have to clip her claws every now and then, otherwise she ruins
furniture.Besides, too long claws are uncomfortable even for herself. The
problem is, she hates having her claws cut (I always do it very carefully,
just like the vet showed me) and every time there's a fierce battle with
hissing, biting and scratching. There must be at least 2 people holding her
and even then that's a problem. I don't know what to do. I don't want to
scare her or make her unhappy, but I can't take her to the vet every time
she needs her claws clipped!

Can you suggest anything? I would be really grateful!

My ex-girlfriend had exactly the same problem. She let her ex-boyfriend come
over every time to do the job. So if there is someone you know who can do it
for you? (But you probably have thought of that yourself by now ;-) )

Grtz Martijn.

I have a suggestion that works for me.
When You find your cat asleep go up and start petting her feet, she will get
used to you playing with her feet. Then when she's asleep gentley squeeze
her feet and clip a couple nails at a time give the cat a break and clip a
couple more so on and so forth.
