My cat is crazy about soda bottle lids, the secong you start to screw off
the lid she comes running in and if you set it down, you can forget it she
will take off with it.  She also will play fetch with them, and usually if
i ask her "where is it?" she will run and go find one. The other day she
was meowing at something under the fridgerator, so i was curious what she
wanted under there well it turns out thats were she loses them all there
were 57 bottle lids 13 milk rings, 4 toothpaste lids, and like 15 of my
hair ties (no wonder i cant ever find them). Anyone else's cat as gaga
over lids?

Not soda lids, but hair ties.

My kitten puts hair elastics in her food dish all the time. She finds
them everywhere, and every day I come home to see one or two of them
in her food dish. She also puts coins in people's shoes.

I wish I could live inside her brain just for a day to try to
understand her motivations.

With mine it's milk rings.  Our's tear off with a zipping sound.  He
sure knows the sound and comes running from where ever he's hiding.

As I posted a while back, his twin brother licks every plastic bag he
can find!  Walmart bags, chip bags, sandwich bags, ect.  The little
freak looks me square in the eyes while he licks if I am within sight.

As posted... I wish I could ge into thier heads for a few minutes.
They seems to live in a bizarre world some days.

All three of them do this (not together!) suddenly pull their ears
back, growl the most fierce sound I have ever hear from a cat ,
actually more of a deep loud grunt!  Then suddenly run from one end of
the house to the other about 5 times.... then suddenly back to normal
like nothing happened.   I have read that it's sort of an 'imaginary
friend' thing.    Some days....lol

I attached a pic of them.... baglapper on the left and milkring on the
right.   (Spot n Spike actually)

My kittens seem to prefer little girl socks!  They steal them from
laundry drying outside.  Since I don't have hundreds of them, I assume
they only steal what's fallen on the ground.  Glad they haven't
started stealing them from the clotheslines!
