My cat Juicey is obssed with shutting all the doors in my apartment. She
gets on her hind legs and pushes all the doors closed, when in the
bathroom we have two doors and she watches the doors in the mirror while
she's shutting them. It gets to the point that i have a shoe in front of
every door or she will get herself locked in somewhere. Anyone else have
this happen with their cat and any theories why she does it?

No theories, but my cats started doing this after about 5 months. I
had to get door stops, and when I occasionally leave one off, I'll
come home with one (usually) cat having locked herself in a room.

One of our cats is continually shutting himself in the bathroom or in
our walk-in closet. I have no idea why he does it, but he makes the most
plaintive sound when he's stuck in there.
