hello there i have a Kitten that pee's in the same space, not in the litter
tray, but in the corner of my room on the carpet. I clean this up with
bleach but it is still happening. I don't want to use a chemical repellent
but do you know of any natural way to do it, it was suggested that i lay tin
foil and marbles around that area so the kitten will find that disturbing.
If you can help many thanks

Have you determined whether or not this behaviour is as a result of a
medical or behavioural problem?
Best to rule out a medical problem first.

if it's a male cat- he's marking his territory, it wont stop
it's a natural instinct

Not if he is only a kitten as he did say?

I have three male cats and don't have a spray territory marking problem.
First, find out if the litter being used is the issue (wrong kind or is it a
clean box?); Secondly, call a vet. This sounds like it could be a simple
medical matter. Is he neutered? Vinegar does well to remove urine odor.
Another q: Does he pee at the foot of the bed corner or at the head of the
bed corner of the room? Or a distant corner from your bed area?

Yes, but I bet they were neutured at th first possible time they could have
been yes?

Why is that?

The sooner the kitties are fixed (within reason) the less likely they are to
learn the territory marking behavior.
Put the litter box in the corner where the kitty is peeing, for now.
Do you have other Cats?
Peeing in a wrong area is often a behavioral problem, like maybe other cats
are intimidating the kitten, or there is something it doesn't like about the
littler box, or the area that the box is in.
Cats are extremely attune to their environment, try to figure out what is
bothering it, and then defuse that situation.
I've discovered a really good repellent, lot of garden stores have it. It's
a 'coyote urine' solution. It's odorless to humans. But to kitties it smells
like 'DANGER' predator close by, don't go there.
So, once the kitten has adopted a littlerbox, and you've started moving the
box towards where you want it to be (few feet every few days) eventually,
when the litterbox is far enough, you might want to give the 'problem
corner' a bit of a coyote urine squirt, to discourage the kitty from going
there. Make it 'unsafe' to go there. But whatever you do, be very very
patient and repetitive. Make sure you don't traumatize or discourage the
kitty, otherwise, it won't work out, an the kitty may develop additional
problems.
Yeah, even though they're animals, they have their own little psyche... You
can do a lot of good by taking some time to learn about it and understand
it.
There are couple really cool books I read that talk about this, and other
interesting cat issues, one is called 'twisted whiskers' the other one is
called 'the cat who cried for help'.

we had a similar problem with our havana. we put a couple of mothballs in
the corner and she hasn't done it since.

A tiny amount of ground, white pepper in the corner has a similar effect.

It may be that you have changed something in the room, a piece of
furniture maybe? Or it can be that there is another cat in the room
that
he doesnt like.

It could even be the intoduction of a new person he doesn't like.
There is also something called "bitter apple" that works to send cats
elsewhere. They are not fond of the citrus scent.
