My cat is throwing up constantly to you know what I can do
to help her so she don't throw up as much. She is 14 years old
I  don't know what to do. I bet you it's  her age and her weak digestive
system. I really need someone's help. My mother had the idea of feeding her
raw eggs so she'll get a little more fat. She was humongous but all of a
sudden she started to lose weight we think it's from her throwing up. My
other cat is 3 and she lactose and tolerant. She only throw's up if she
drinks milk. She has hair balls a lot
and we've learned that if we take her outside to get some fresh air she
don't throw up. We also have some medicine we give her but the other  cat
won't come near it.

Nearly all cats are lactose intolerant.

Take the cat to a vet.  The weight loss is disturbing and could be an indicator
of a serious and possibly fatal illness.

Hi Debbie,
I'm new to the group and read your message first so hope I can help
some.  I have an old cat too.  He's 16 and has lost weight also.
Throws up all over the place.  My husband and I are at our wits end
until we start really inspecting the vomit.  It's mostly hair.
Husband gets some Hartz hairball remedy, I put it in the food,
(canned) he eats it up and doesn't throw up once again.  That was two
weeks ago.  Hasn't thrown up since.  I give it to him and my other cat
every day.  Just an inch in a bit of canned food once a day.  The tube
says do it weekly after the first week but I do it daily and find it
really helps them both to stop the throwing up.  When I brush my cats,
I swear I get enough hair to make a kitten.  I don't know why they
shed so much but they do.

I agree with the other poster.  If the hair ball remedy doesn't work,
you need a vet.  You might just take your cat in anyway just to make
sure he's not diabetic or something else. Is your cat urinating alot
and drinking alot too?  Those are signs of diabetes.  Our son just had
to put his cat down because of diabetes.  His cat just urinated
everywhere and constantly.  Also drank constantly.  Having diabetes
myself, I knew the symptoms so I wasn't surprised when he told me.  I
fear my 16 year old may have it because he is starting to drink
excessively and urinate in the box and on the floor beside the box.
Check your cat for these symtoms.  HTH
Basha
