We went to the shelter today to adopt two kittens.  We want two so we can
share better in our family and so they will be happier when alone.  but
there were not kittens.

Is there a good time of year when to expect there would be kittens at the
shelters here in California?

thank you for any input

guilterhusband, I just tried to email you and your email bounced as user
unknown. Could you PLEASE email me back ASAP, as I might have 2 kittens for
you. I am in Central California,  and I have three DARLING kittens that
someone
dumped, that I MUST find homes for ASAP. These kittens were taped in a box
and left at a curb, and I discovered them, and brought them home last night.
They are very healthy and affectionate to people. No fleas, and great
appetites. I suspect that someone told their child to FIND HOMES for these
kittens, and out of desperation, placed this large box with a stuffed toy in
it, and an open can of food in it, at the curb of a nice house on my street.
I happened upon it, while taking a walk at midnight last night. I MUST find
homes for all the kittens, and I just saw your post. One of the kittens is
probably spoken for, by a friend of mine, so there are at least two
available. They are all boys.....about 6 weeks. They use the litter box
without fail. They are very playful! This evening I watched them arch their
little backs, and run sideways at one another. lol
I am almost positive that I could deliver 2 kittens to you, if you wanted.
My husband is that motivated. LOL. We have 12 cats already of our own.
I have pictures of these three feisty fellows.

What a lovely kittens.
very good that you  did save this kittens.
I live in Holland and I discover also dump kittens
Most of the time I must bottle them, becaus they are too young to feed therm
sel;ves.

I hope that those kittens will get a warm basket of her own and a good
lovely new home.

Goog luck baby boys.

Seems no one answered your question.  New kittens are available now.
My current cat had 3-4 on March 11th.  Check around your neighborhood
for new litters.

thanks.  I think they need to be 6-8 weeks old before adoption dont they?
If so, I guess the end of this month should start to see a ramp up.

thanks again

Yes, kittens should be weaned before adoption.  The natural immunity
they get from mother's milk is important.

"My" kittens also picked up their mother's being very scared of
everything!  I've only touched 1-2 of the kittens twice so far (very
soft fur).  They're hiding under the kitchen sink and won't come out
to play!
