The discovery of the skeleton of a male lion in the tomb of King
Tutankhamen's wet nurse Ma?a in the city of Memphis, Egypt, has lent weight
to the theory that ancient Egyptians worshipped lions.

An interesting article...
but from the picture that "skeleton" looks like it still has a lot of meat
on the bones!
