Hello Folks. Kitty has been spraying my expensive amplifier and there are
white streaks inside the case and on all four sides. I have tried everything
I can think of to clean it up, and so far, nothing will remove the stain. I
used to have a cover, but it has disappeared. Maybe kitty hid it. The case
is black vinyl and there is a black nylon covering the speakers. I don't
want anyone to see it. So embarrassing and kitty is trying to upset me.  I
caught him doing it, so I sprayed him with a water bottle to scare him off.
When I'm not around, he returns to do it again. Can anyone here offer any
advice on how to clean it up and keep kitty away?. Any help is appreciated.

Make the cat listen to 2 hours each of Michael Bolton and Celine Dion.
They will never go near your system again.
Try Windex, then Armourall.

Has your cat been neutered? If he hasn't he should be and that should
cut down on the spraying. He's marking his territory, and once it's marked,
it's hard to get him to stop re-marking the same item. Try cleaning it well
with something with a citrus or vinegar smell. They don't like those odors.
Try waxing your amp afterwards too.You could also try putting his food next
to it. They usually don't spray by their food. Try to keep it covered with
something for awhile till he's broken the habit also. Most important is to
have him neutered though. Good luck. Let me know if it helps.
