I have a 2 year old male fixed cat who is going to the bathroom all over
the house.Which is not normal.Im told he may have a urinary track
infection. Is there anything at home that i can do for my cat.

NOPE  except take your cat to a vet UTI can be deadly if ignored

I agree with Matthew, you need to get the UTI treated as soon as possible.
Simple fix, most likely will prescribe Clavamox twice a day for 2 weeks.
Usually the cat will feel better in a few days.  Then introduce the litter
box again.  If the cat still urinates in other places, it's because it is
associating the pain with the box.  Place him/her in a small room with the
box (preferably a bathroom) until he/she uses the box again & sees that there
is no pain now.  Then you can place the box back in it's normal place.  I
have had a few of mine with UTI's.  I do feed them food specifically to help
reduce the occurance of UTI's.  Seems to help.

I agree, you need to get your cat to a vet asap, I lost a cat due to a uti
as it caused a kidney infection which led to kidney failure. He was only 10.
and I took him to the vet as soon as I noticed he was not right. :-(

Carpets: soak area with 1 psat hydrogen peroxide 3%, 1 part white vinegar
and 1 part hot water with a dash of dish soap. Test a small area first for
colour fastness.  Remember you need to use enough to soak the carpet,
underpad and subfloor to get rid of the urine smell. Reg floors such as
wood, tile etc just use the above solution directly on the floor, wash all
floors and let dry. I only had to use this solution once and the scent of
cat pee was gone!!!!! It truely does work.

To help stop you cat from reoffending you should also do like the others
suggested, isolate him, put him in a bathroom with a clean kitty box, food
and water, leave in for a week, bring back out after all pee has been
neutralized in the floors (so he wont smell it and think it is ok to go
there) and watch carefully. Follow your vet's direction for medications to
the letter.

Good luck
