Hi, I am wondering if there is anyone who knows of
a good way to maintain the fur of a long-haired cat.  My
cat is having trouble keeping all her fur clean.  I have
trimmed her with scissors but she looks terrible.  She
now has knots in her fur.  I took her to the vet but there
is nothing wrong with her fur.  Does anyone know where
I can get a buzzer to trim her fur?  I tried using an old
buzzer I had for my own hair but it shut down after
about two seconds of trying to handle her fur!

You can go to any pet store and get one  they run anywhere from $20 to $300
depending on what you want
I have this one that I used to use on one of our long hairs before she
passed away

==============================

I  trim my cat every spring, she has not only very long hair she is also
slightly disabled  so she cant clean the rear as well,  every year I trim
and shave her with a recharge able electric razor which is low powered.
She doesnot like the noise but she loves loosing her hair and happily
submits to the work.. I do it myself, and she is happy .  Sometimes she gets
fed up and I continue the next day but without a doubt she loves losing her
hair..
