What is the vet saying?
Older cats sometimes have digestive problems, so I would suggest a food
choice specially designed for older/senior cats.

For Gods sake get your cat to the vet NOW.  If your cat can not go to the
bathroom that can turn lethal very quickly!  You state the cat is suffering.
Are you experiencing this problem now?  How many hours or days?  It doesn't
matter really.  Things can get real serious very quickly.  Even if it is the
middle of the night where you live when you read this, then don't wait till
morning.  Get to a 24 hour animal hospital.  I would have already been
there.
